A planned community with moderately priced homes in Southwest Amarillo.  Homes are priced from $140,000’s.

There is a new school and park.  City view students are part of the Canyon Independent School District. 

The Greenways

One of Amarillo’s newest neighborhoods is the Greenways.  The Greenways neighborhood is located between Coulter and Soncy and Hillside to the North and West 77th to the South.

The Greenways is a master planned community designed beautifully and with a plan that should help the neighborhood to continue to be an enjoyable place today and well into the future.   The plan includes a park and trails that link the neighborhood and the natural beauty of the area.

The streets are tree lined and designed to reduce traffic flow and speed.   The neighborhood features many streets with quiet cul-de-sacs.

The deed restrictions and architectural review assures that homeowner’s can enjoy their neighborhood and their own property.  The average home in the Greenways is 285,000 dollars.

The Greenways is located in the Canyon Independent School District.  Hillside Elementary School is for students in K-4th grades.  Greenways Intermediate is for 5th and 6th grades.  7th and 8th graders attend Westover Park Junior High and Randall High School is for students in 9th-12th graders.

Lake Tanglewood

Lake Tanglewood is a gated community that is located about 10 minutes south of Amarillo.  If you wish to live on Lake Front property in the Texas Panhandle this neighborhood will impress you.  The neighborhoods focal point is a beautiful lake suitable for watercraft and fishing.

In addition, this private secured community features a challenging 18-hole golf course.  Members of the community enjoy the course with no green fees.  The community of Lake Tanglewood also has it own restaurant, marina, and non-denominational community worship center.  Some of Amarillo’s most spectacular homes are located within this neighborhood.

Homes vary in price but typically those located closer to the water command the greatest value.  Don’t miss this jewel of the Texas Panhandle.

Puckett

Puckett is a neighborhood that people love to live in. Most of the houses were built in the early 1970’s.  Many of the homes have been updated.  There is much diversity in the age range of homeowners.  Some have lived here since the houses were built and others have moved in with their young families.

The schools are Puckett Elementary, Crockett or Bonham Middles Schools, and Amarillo High School.  Puckett and Amarillo High are actually in the Puckett neighborhood.  It’s a quick ride to drop off your little ones and your high school student can sleep late and still make it to school on time!

Puckett is conveniently located between 34th and 45th streets and Bell and Coulter.

River Falls

River Falls is located near Palo Duro Canyon, just South of the Claude Highway and East of Lake Tanglewood.

River Falls is a place for the outdoor enthusiast and/or nature lovers. The open space with canyons and scenic views is over 500 acres. There are miles of designated hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Wildlife habitats have been established and are protected. Home sites are horse friendly.

The gun club has a shooting range and skeet equipment and there is a fishing club as well.  A 9-hole golf course has been developed. Ponds and streams are available for fishing and there is a covered picnic area with BBQ pit.

There is neighborhood 24-hour security and security gate and fencing.

River Falls is located within the much sought after Canyon school district.

Sleepy Hollow

Schools in this are Sleepy Hollow Elementary, Bonham Middle School and Amarillo High School.

The Colonies

The Colonies is a place rich with architectural diversity and a unique system of parks.  One of the aspects of The Colonies is the focus on being “pedestrian friendly.”  There are numerous walkways and green spaces.  The planners have included many varied aspects such as mini-parks and tree lines streets. There is a 50-foot clock tower located at a roundabout parkway.

The schools in The Colonies are part of the Amarillo Independent School District.  Area schools include:  Sleepy Hollow Elementary, Bonham Middle School, and Amarillo High School.

The Vineyards

The Vineyards 550 Home Mastered Planned Community is located on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Loop 335 and Broadway.

The Vineyards is far enough out that it feels like you are away from the city but just about a 10 minute drive to Woodlands Elementary, De Zevala Middle School and Tascosa High Schools.

The homes range from 1240 square feet to 2200 square feet.  There are 5 different floor plans that are now offered.

Westover/Westover Village

In Southwest Amarillo, this quiet neighborhood is around an isolated 5-acre walking park that is the focal point of the growing area.

Wolflin

Wolflin is a historic district near downtown Amarillo. It is on the National Registry of Historic Places.  Situated just a few blocks from Amarillo College and with easy access to both 1-40 and 1-27, it is a neighborhood that has maintained its high demand over the years.

Wolflin’s streets are lined with trees and many of the streets are brick.  The homes are rich in character and have lots of curb appeal.

Woodlands/La Paloma

The Woodlands/La Paloma is a community situated around two 18- hole golf courses.  It is located in Northwest Amarillo.

Woodlands Elementary, De Zevala Middle School and Tascosa High School are the area schools.  Very convenient to the families that live in this area, Woodlands Elementary and De Zevala are situated right next to each other in the Woodlands neighborhood.
